Pastor Barry Maxwell and family joined the SHBC ministry in February, 2005. He hails from West Tennessee where he earned an undergraduate degree in accounting from Christian Brothers University, Memphis, Tennessee. After a few years of counting beans, he earned (by God's grace alone!) a Master of Divinity degree from Southern Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.

Barry and Amy have been married since August 16, 1997 (which was also the 20th anniversary of Elvis Presley's death). God has blessed them Lydia Grace (3), who they adopted while living in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Pastor Preston Atkinson and family joined the SHBC ministry in September, 2005. Also from West Tennessee, Pastor Preston earned a biblical studies degree from Union University, Jackson, Tennesee. He is currently pursuing his Master of Divinity degree, which was put on hold by the blessed birth of twins! Preston and Karna have been married since August 16, 1997 (that's right, the exact same anniversary!)
